The NFL is officially on notice: Terry McLaurin is good.
The Washington Football Team’s wide receiver had seven catches for 115 yards and a touchdown on Sunday. He led Washington in both receptions and receiving yards in a 23-20 loss to the New York Giants in Week 9.
But it was his fourth-quarter catch, somehow holding onto the ball despite significant contact from Isaac Yiadom and then, improbably splitting the Giants secondary for a 68-yard touchdown that will undoubtedly be the highlight from Sunday’s game.

With the loss, Washington is now 2-6 on the year. The Giants improved to 2-7 and may have kissed their chance at the No. 1 pick goodbye with the win.
In his second year in the league, McLaurin is proving to be a playmaker for Washington. Two weeks ago, he had seven catches for 90 yards and a touchdown for Washington in a win over the Dallas Cowboys.
As a senior at Ohio State, McLaurin had 35 catches for 701 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2018.
