Texas coach Steve Sarkisian addresses assistant’s NSFW tirade following loss to Iowa State

Tensions were running high after Texas’ 30-7 loss at Iowa State in Week 10, which was a fourth consecutive defeat. Afterwards, a video surfaced of Texas defensive line coach Bo Davis spewing a profanity-laced tirade.
In the aftermath of the situation, Texas coach Steve Sarkisian addressed the media and shared his thoughts. Sarkisian believes Davis’ criticisms came from a place of wanting the team to fulfill its potential.

Sark on Bo Davis video: “I think one thing that jumped out to me when I first saw the video, you could hear the passion in Bo’s voice. We really believe in the staff that we hired and what we came here to do. You could feel the passion and want to get it done.”

This is Davis’ first season back at Texas after serving from 2011 to 2013 under Mack Brown.
Texas is 4-5 overall and sixth place in the Big 12. Next up for the Longhorns is a home contest vs. Kansas on Nov. 13 (7:30 p.m. EST/ESPNU).
Texas leads the all-time series 16-3 and is on a three-game winning streak vs. Kansas.
