A Texas State transfer went on social media to discuss his top three potential landing spots. A B1G program graced his list on Sunday.

The aforementioned player is Texas State DL Davon Sears Jr. Sears entered the portal on Dec. 17 and has picked some ideal destinations. Penn State, Oklahoma, and Tennessee are the three schools that he is considering at the moment.

Sears played in 12 regular season games for the Bobcats this season. Texas State went 4-8 in 2022 and missed a bowl game. Sears compiled 15 total tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, and 1 sack this season.

Sears was unrated by the 247Sports Composite as a recruit out of the 2019 class. Sears later enrolled at Ellsworth Community College and joined Texas State last season.

The Detroit, Michigan native comes in at 6-foot-2 290 pounds and could be a useful addition to any of these team’s defensive lines.

Stay tuned for more updates about Sears’ recruiting interests.
