The Texas Tech Red Raiders earned a huge 37-34 home win over the No. 22 Texas Longhorns as the fans in Lubbock stormed the field. The fans enjoyed the win with peers and the Red Raiders team until a particular fan was spotted violently pushing a Texas player during the celebration.

There’s no place for this.

The contact appeared to not be accidental as the Texas Tech fan deliberately pushed the Texas player in the back. It is all fun and games until a classless fan physically confronts a player on the opposing team, especially if the player is turned away.

This was Texas Tech’s first win over Texas since 2017. This win over was a top 25 team from the state of Texas since 2008.

Texas Tech is now 3-1 and achieved its first Big 12 win of the 2022 season.
