It might be that Cam Porter doesn’t like the color orange. Whatever it is, Porter is having a huge day running the ball for Northwestern, who is up big on Illinois.
The Northwestern running back is having a huge game, his third quarter touchdown putting him at 130 rushing yards and two touchdowns as well as giving Northwestern a 21-3 lead over in-state rival Illinois. On the 18-yard touchdown, Porter showed some speed and balance in getting into the end zone.
More remarkable, Porter came into the game with just 32 rushing yards on eight carries with a touchdown. That he quadrupled his season rushing total in a little over two quarters of play is remarkable.

It is certainly a breakout game for the freshman running back.
And, in the same breadth, quite the indictment on Illinois and their run defense on Saturday.
Porter was a three-star running back recruit out of Cincinnati, OH. He also held offers from Iowa and Cincinnati when he picked Northwestern.
