Ohio State is on a four-game winning streak and Kerry Coombs gave quite the winning message after the personal adversity he’s faced.

Coombs returned to Ohio State in a defensive coordinator role after two seasons in the NFL. However, after the loss to Oregon, Ohio State coach Ryan Day removed the play-calling duties from Coombs. The play-calling duties were transitioned to secondary coach Matt Barnes.

That decision was something that led to the “hardest stretch” of Coombs’ career. Coombs gave an inspiring speech about the importance of faith, resiliency, and being a man of your word:

Ohio State is coming off a massive 66-17 victory vs. Maryland in Week 6. Next up for Ohio State is a road matchup at Indiana on Oct. 23 (7:30 p.m. EST/ABC).
