The best trophy in college football will reside in Iowa City for at least one more year. Iowa’s 27-22 victory over Minnesota ensured that Floyd of Rosedale won’t be changing his address anytime soon.

Iowa defeated Minnesota for a seventh-straight season on Saturday night at Kinnick Stadium. It was another hard-fought contest, but a few explosive plays and the Hawkeyes defense proved too much for the Golden Gophers.

After the game, the Hawkeyes had no trouble running over to celebrate with the prized bronze pig:

With the win on Saturday, Iowa improved to 8-2 on the season and is 5-2 in the B1G. The Hawkeyes still have a path to Indianapolis, but would need to win their next two games against Illinois and Nebraska and hope Wisconsin falls to either the Huskers or Minnesota.

Regardless of what the next two weeks hold, Iowa is certainly happy to be keeping Floyd in Iowa City.
