Joel Klatt isn’t just high on Ohio State as a team, he’s been really impressed by several individuals on the team. In fact, when he released his top 10 Heisman candidates after Week 6 there were three Buckeyes in the mix.

Klatt tweeted out his Heisman Trophy rankings following Week 6, with the traditional names at the top: Jalen Hurts, Joe Burrow, Jonathan Taylor, Tua Tagovailoa and Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields. None of those names were surprising.

Two other Buckeyes cracked the top 10, with defensive end Chase Young listed at No. 7 and running back J.K. Dobbins at No. 10. Neither of those two players have received much love in terms of the Heisman conversation.

Below is Klatt’s complete top 10:

All three have had an outstanding first half of the season. Fields has accounted for 26 total touchdowns this season and has thrown just one interception. Young leads the B1G in sacks, racking up 8.5 in the first six games. Dobbins is currently the B1G’s rushing leader with 826 yards.

You can make a strong argument for all three.

It would probably take quite a bit more for Young and Dobbins to crawl into the conversation, especially with Young being a defensive player. But, anything is possible in college football.
