Saturday night’s seven overtime battle between LSU and Texas A&M was one of the most thrilling games in college football this season. It’s rare that two teams can continue to make big plays in huge moments.

The five-hour fight is just one of the many reasons we love college football.

But was Saturday’s game a sign that college football needs to make a change to its overtime rules? A few FOX Sports personalities believe so.

Texas A&M pulled off the 74-72 victory over LSU on Saturday in the seventh overtime, but in the future, Dean Blandino and Mike Pereira would like to see the game ended much sooner. Why? Both point to player safety as a major reason.

Both talked about the overwhelming number of plays that were run in the game, players on both sides getting fatigued and cramping throughout the overtimes. While most of us watching loved every single second of the SEC clash, Blandino and Pereira says there’s a real concern regarding the safety of the players.
