TJ Hockenson traded by Detroit Lions to new NFC North team, per report

TJ Hockenson is on the move at the NFL trade deadline Tuesday. According to reports from NFL insiders Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport, the Detroit Lions are trading the tight end within the NFC North.
According to those reports, Hockenson is being traded to the Minnesota Vikings with Minnesota adding a playmaker for a playoff push. The Lions — struggling once again at 1-6 — are recouping some assets for Hockenson.
Detroit is expected to receive a 2nd-round pick in 2023 and a 3rd-round pick in 2024 in exchange for Hockenson, a 4th-round pick in 2023 and a conditional 4th-round pick in 2024.
Minnesota is 6-1 and adds another playmaker for the playoff push, with Hockenson under contract through 2023.

Hockenson is in his 4th NFL season after wrapping up his career at Iowa. He currently has 395 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns in 2022.
It will be interesting to see how Hockenson fits in with the offense in Minnesota alongside QB Kirk Cousins.
