Most of the 2021 college football season is in the books. With only bowl games and the College Football Playoff remaining, players thinking about heading to the 2022 NFL Draft will have one more game to impress the scouts.

With the regular season and conference championship games in the books, ESPN’s Todd McShay has released an updated Top 32 for the NFL Draft. His order is based on talent alone, not where he believes players would be selected.

The B1G makes up 25% of McShay’s list, with 8 players from the league being mentioned. There’s also a new No. 1 atop McShay’s rankings — Michigan defensive end Aidan Hutchinson, who has performed at a high level in the final month of the year.

Hutchinson nudges out Oregon’s Kayvon Thibodeaux for the top spot.

Ohio State led the way with selections, as 3 players landed on McShay’s Top 32. Michigan had 2 and Purdue, Iowa and Penn State each had 1. Here’s a look at the 8 B1G players, as well as their ranking:

  • No. 1: Aidan Hutchinson, DE, Michigan
  • No. 7: George Karlaftis, DE, Purdue
  • No. 11: Garrett Wilson, WR, Ohio State
  • No. 14: Chris Olave, WR, Ohio State
  • No. 17: Tyler Linderbaum, C, Iowa
  • No. 19: David Ojabo, DE/LB, Michigan
  • No. 20: Jahan Dotson, WR, Penn State
  • No. 31: Nicholas Petit-Frere, OT, Ohio State

There are still months between now and the 2022 NFL Draft. McShay could change this around. For now, the B1G has the top overall prospect and is well represented.
