Tom Allen likes to keep people guessing and once again, offers no insight into the starting quarterback position for Indiana.

During a Monday morning presser, Allen revealed that he has not named a starting QB, “at this time,” per Zach Osterman.

This seems to be the growing trend for Allen. Trying to keep some sort of mystery alive within the QB1 role.

Connor Bazelak was the starter in Week 11’s 56-14 loss to Ohio State, coming off an injury. But it wasn’t long before he was pulled out for sophomore Dexter Williams.

The quarterback situation at IU continues to be a growing issue with each passing week. How Williams turned last week’s game around was a huge confidence boost for the Hoosiers. Williams completed 6-of-19 passes for 107 yards and 2 touchdowns and added 16 carries for 46 yards.

Bazelak started the first eight games for the Hoosiers’ but did not practice leading up to the Penn State matchup in Week 10.

It is unclear if Williams will get the start this week after putting up big plays against an unbeaten Ohio State team. We will keep you posted on what happens.

The Hoosiers will travel to Michigan State for a slated kickoff at noon ET this Saturday.
