The Indiana Hoosiers kicked off fall practices Friday, and all eyes are on what figures to be a tight QB battle on the offensive side of the ball.

Head coach Tom Allen met with the media to discuss the QB situation after the first practice. All three quarterbacks saw time with the first-team offense, but Allen said there was no specific order in place.

Allen also said he expects to see more of all three guys getting reps with the first team throughout camp:

“We did that by design,” explained Allen. “All three got work with the 1’s, 2’s, and 3’s. It really wasn’t necessarily in any specific order, especially the first day of practice. We’re gonna see a lot of that just to make sure they get an opportunity to work with each group. But really for them, it’s just executing the offense.”

For what it is worth, Allen said Thursday that Peyton Ramsey would be the first QB to work with the starters at practice. He felt Ramsey had earned that. However, it does sound like Jack Tuttle and Michael Penix Jr. will get every opportunity to earn the starting role.
