Many fans are still hoping to have a 2020 college football season, and head coach Tom Allen updated the status of the Indiana program on Tuesday.

According to Zach Osterman with the Indy Star, Allen confirmed that “a small number” of Hoosiers players in the program tested positive for COVID-19. However, Allen did not address specifics beyond that.

In addition to his update on COVID-19 testing, Allen also provided an update on TE Peyton Hendershot. Allen indicated that Hendershot has completed his team discipline as well as the legal processes involved and will be back with the team in a full capacity. Hendershot had been suspended following an arrest in February.

So far, it sounds like things are trending in a positive direction for the Hoosiers. Hopefully, that will continue as we get closer to a potential start date for the season.
