It sounds like Indiana quarterback Michael Penix, Jr. avoided a worst-case scenario injury.
Hoosiers coach Tom Allen announced Penix Jr. has an AC separation in his throwing shoulder and will be week-to-week. That’s certainly promising news for the Indiana offense.

Penix Jr. suffered the injury in the 3rd quarter of Indiana’s Week 5 game against Penn State and didn’t return. The broadcast speculated about what it meant for the rest of Penix Jr.’s season. Luckily, it sounds relatively minor.
Jack Tuttle came in at QB for the Hoosiers and completed 6 of 12 passes for 77 yards off the bench. Indiana has 2 tough games coming up against Michigan State and Ohio State, which will be even tougher if the Hoosiers have to go without their starting quarterback.
