Tom Allen thanks Hoosier Nation for support during Indiana’s historic season

Amid speculation that he could be heading for a bigtime program, Tom Allen thanked Indiana fans via social media on Tuesday morning. The Hoosiers head coach’s message was focused on the future and didn’t sound like someone heading out from Bloomington.
Despite a dour end to the season, a 26-20 loss to Ole Miss in the Outback Bowl, Indiana still had a tremendous 2020. They finished the season 6-2 and almost beat Ohio State on the road. At one point, Indiana reached a highwater mark of No. 7 nationally.
They will undoubtedly end the season ranked, having finished 2019 at No. 24 in the AP Top 25 Poll. It will be the first time that Indiana has had consecutive seasons finished in the polls since 1994.
In his message, Allen thanked Indiana’s fans and praised his team’s commitment, adding that “I choose to focus on our future & what we are building here at Indiana. The Best is Yet to Come!”
