Tom Brady and Brock Purdy are set to face off in a Week 14 matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Brady is currently 45 years and 130 days old. Purdy is 22 years and 349 days old. This 22-year and 146-day age gap is the largest gap between starting QBs since at least 1950.

Purdy was the Mr. Irrelevant in the 2022 NFL Draft. However, after season-ending injuries to Trey Lance and Jimmy Garoppolo, Purdy was thrust into the starting role for the Niners. Purdy made his 1st start in Week 13, leading the Niners to a 33-17 win over the Dolphins.

Brady also knows how it feels to be taken in the back end of the draft, as he was selected 199th overall in the 2000 NFL Draft. Brady’s Buccaneers enter Week 14 in 1st place in the NFC South with a 6-6 record.
