Tom Brady probably didn’t foresee this bad of a performance against Brock Purdy coming. The San Francisco 49ers beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers by a final score of 35-7 in San Francisco.

Sunday’s loss was also the first time that Brady has lost to a QB making a first career start. Purdy has the extra significance of being the “Mr. Irrelevant” from the 2022 NFL Draft. Purdy was selected by the 49ers with the final pick of the 2022 NFL Draft out of Iowa State.

It was a tale of two different games from Brady and Purdy. Brady finished the game with 253 yards passing, 1 touchdown, and 2 interceptions. Purdy had 185 yards passing and 2 touchdowns in the win.

Things are not looking good for the Bucs (6-7) at the moment as their lead in the NFC South shrinks with the Carolina Panthers (5-8) beating the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.

Tampa Bay will now have to face the Cincinnati Bengals next. That game kicks off from Raymond James Stadium next Sunday at 4:25 p.m. ET on CBS.
