Even off the field, Tom Brady continues to break more and more records.

This time, Brady’s record came in the form of a rookie card selling at auction. According to Mike Florio with Pro Football Talk, a 2000 Playoff Contenders Championship Rookie Ticket No. 144 Tom Brady Rookie Autograph was sold through Lelands for a staggering $3.1 million.

That price tag sets the record for the highest sale of a football card ever. What makes it even more impressive is that it is the third time in 2021 that the record has been broken with a Tom Brady card setting the mark each time.

In March of this year, a Brady rookie card fetched $1.32 million, making it the first football card to sell for more than a million dollars. Less than a month later, another Brady card fetched $2.25 million at auction.

While his cards are setting records, the 43-year-old QB continues to go strong on the field. Brady is coming off his NFL record seventh Super Bowl and first as a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
