Tom Izzo said Monday at Michigan State basketball’s media days that any minute restrictions for Jaden Akins when he returns will be up to doctors.
Izzo says potential minute limitations for Jaden Akins when he returns will be up to doctors. "The good thing with Akins is he's down there cranking it on that bike and Versaclimber. … He's worked so hard in the offseason."

Akins has been dealing with a foot injury and recently had surgery, leaving him out for at least a month, but he will likely be ready to return for Michigan State’s opener on November 7.
Akins is likely to see minute restrictions to start the season, but Izzo will rely on doctors to make that decision.
The 6-foot-4 guard had a slow start to his college career a season ago, 3.4 points per game and 2.4 rebounds per game. Akins will hope to improve upon those numbers this season after he recovers from his injury, and Izzo says he has worked hard this offseason.
