Tom Izzo has been dealing with the absence of Malik Hall. Fortunately, it looks like Michigan State will get Hall back this week.
On Wednesday, Izzo announced the plan is still for Hall to return to action on Friday against Buffalo. Hall has been sidelined by a stress reaction in his foot but began the year starting the first four games of the year for the Spartans.
As for Keon Coleman, Izzo says the dual-sport athlete and star receiver for Mel Tucker has been practicing for the team this week. Izzo says Coleman has been wanting to get back into basketball, but a full decision on his status for basketball season will be determined once Izzo, Mel Tucker and Coleman discuss the situation.
Malik Hall expected to play Friday vs. Buffalo, Tom Izzo says. Keon Coleman also has been practicing with MSU hoops since Monday.

Coleman appeared in 6 games for the Spartans during the 2021-22 season but did not experience heavy playing time. On the football field, Coleman was the team’s leading receiver with 58 catches for 798 yards and 7 touchdowns in 2022.
