Tommy Togiai and the Cleveland Browns appear to be an ideal match. The Ohio State defensive lineman was tabbed by the Browns in the fourth round with the No. 132 overall pick.
The Browns’ brass expressed effusive praise for Togiai and what he can offer on the field.
Cleveland Browns director of player personnel Dan Saganey on Togiai: “Tommy, for us, is a really good scheme fit … We look for guys who can penetrate off the ball, we think he can do that … We’re always looking for quick, twitchy, explosive guys and we think he fits that.”

The Browns were even more comfortable with the selection because of Ohio State’s tradition of excellence.
Cleveland Browns director of player personnel Dan Saganey: “Ohio State’s such a great program, any time you add a guy out of there, you feel pretty great about what you’re getting.”

Togiai still had college eligibility but ultimately he’s thrilled that his gamble paid off in such a major way.
Tommy Togiai on entering the draft a year early and ending up with the Browns: “I was betting on myself, and it worked out for the best.” He said he’s “ecstatic” to be a Brown and staying in Ohio.
