Tony Petitti took the podium at B1G Media Days for the first time as Commissioner Wednesday morning, addressing reporters ahead of the 2-day event.

Naturally, Petitti was asked about conference expansion early during his time at the podium. The Commissioner revealed that the direction that has been given to him from presidents and ADS is to “focus on USC and UCLA.”

He finished saying that he is not being told to do anything else other than that when pertaining to expansion.

Of course, UCLA and USC are set to join the conference and begin play in 2024, next season. The move was a controversial one, with some noting that it jeopardizes the geographical integrity of college football conferences by adding 2 California schools to a conference mostly featuring schools from the Midwest.
