Maryland hasn’t had tons of success on the football field as of late. In coach Mike Locksley’s first season leading the Terrapins, the team had its ups — like winning its first two games — and its downs — like losing nine of its last 10 games.
However, that doesn’t mean that Maryland didn’t have successes as a whole. The Terrapins and Locksley are putting together their first full class together for 2020 and the Early Signing Period is right around the corner (starting Wednesday, Dec. 18).

Sims, a 6-foot-3 signal caller from Jacksonville, Fla., has Georgia Tech, Florida State and Maryland in his top three. As he mentioned in his tweet, he will be making his decision Wednesday morning.
Currently, Maryland’s 2020 class ranks No. 36 nationally and No. 10 in the Big Ten. If Sims went with the Terrapins, he would become the team’s highest-rated recruit. Sims is currently tabbed as the No. 206 overall recruit. As it stands, the top prospect verbally committed is ranked No. 267 overall.
