One of the top hoops prospects for the class of 2022 recently cut down his list, keeping three B1G programs in the running.
The player is Tre Holloman, a 6-foot-1 point guard out of Saint Paul, Minnesota. According to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, Holloman is the top player out of Minnesota and the No. 8 point guard nationally for the cycle. He is just outside the top-50 prospects, coming in at No. 52 nationally.
Holloman unveiled a top-six list Monday evening with half of his list hailing from the B1G. Those three programs are Minnesota, Michigan State, and Illinois, along with Dayton, Oklahoma State, and Marquette.

As things currently stand, Holloman would be the highest-rated recruit for the 2022 class of the Illini, Spartans, or Gophers. Michigan State and Minnesota are both looking for their first commits for the cycle while Illinois currently holds a commitment from three-star shooting guard Reggie Bass.
Stay tuned to see how the recruitment of Holloman shapes up.
