Penn State is continuing to climb in the recruiting rankings.
On Friday evening, the Nittany Lions added to an already-strong class, receiving a commitment from three-star strong-side defensive end Brandon Taylor. A 6-foot-3, 250-pound lineman, Taylor is considered to be one of the top 25 players at his position in the 2020 recruiting class.
Taylor made his announcement via Twitter.
“After talking it over with my family and I have come to a conclusion of where I will be spending the next 4 years of my life,” Taylor wrote. “I am blessed to say that I will be continuing my academic and athletic career at Penn State University!!”

Taylor is a strong defensive lineman with an innate ability to get to break through the offensive line. The Lima, Ohio native isn’t just one of the best pass-rushers in the class, he’s one of the better overall players, as well.
According to 247Sports, Taylor ranks as one of the top 20 players from the state of Ohio and is ranked overall at No. 534. He adds depth for the Nittany Lions, becoming the fourth defensive lineman in this cycle to commit.
With Taylor’s pledge, Penn State has now leaped into the top 10 in the recruiting rankings nationally, sitting at the No. 10 spot. The Nittany Lions are third in the B1G.
