After the tough 39-38 loss to Ohio State last Saturday, Penn State decided to call a players only meeting before getting started with Michigan State preparation earlier this week.

On Wednesday, Nittany Lions quarterback Trace McSorley spoke to the media about the player’s only meeting and what all was discussed behind closed doors. While these type of gatherings can sometimes get a little ugly, McSorley assured everyone that this was just to make sure everybody in the locker room was on the same page.

“It was to make sure guys didn’t get too down and make sure that loss didn’t carry over to the next week or really the rest of the season,” McSorley said. “So that was the main goal for us, just get guys moved on from it. Make sure everyone is on the same page.”

“And not let that loss beat us more than once.”

McSorley also said that it was important for Penn State to play with the same confidence it had before the Ohio State game and that there was still a lot of purpose left to this season.

This weekend, Penn State finds itself in another huge battle, traveling to East Lansing to play No. 24 Michigan State. The game is scheduled to kickoff at noon.
