A major name, image and likeness deal is on the way for the scholarship football players at the University of Miami. And for those who agree to the deal, some pretty good money is guaranteed.

According to a report from Miami Rivals, American Top Team, a training academy for MMA fighters, has finalized plans for name, image and likeness contracts for all 90 of the Hurricanes’ scholarship student-athletes on the football team. Under the contract, players will be offered $500 per month ($6,000 per year) to endorse the academy on social media, make personal appearances and through other marketing tools.

Per the report, if all 90 Miami football players accept the offer, the deal would be worth $540,000. From Miami Rivals:

The deal is being administered by a new marketing company – “Bring Back The U” – which was created by South Florida businessman Dan Lambert, who founded American Top Team and is a longtime Golden Cane and member at CaneSport.com.

American Top Team has 44 licensed gyms throughout South Florida and the world.

This is one of the bigger deals to be reported on since the new NIL policies went into effect on July 1. It’s obviously very early in the process and we’re likely to see a lot more deals like this coming in the near future.
