Travis Vokolek, Nebraska’s starting TE, injured in opener vs. Northwestern

Travis Vokolek, Nebraska’s starting tight end and one of the most talented Huskers on the roster, left Nebraska’s game against Northwestern with an apparent ankle injury.
He suffered the injury late in the third quarter and has yet to return. Backup tight end Nate Boerkircher filled in for Vokolek the drive following.

He was having a great game too. Before he went down late in the third, Vokolek had caught 4 passes for 54 yards.
There has been no official update on Vokolek’s status at this time.
