Trayce Jackson-Davis announced Tuesday that he will officially be entering the 2023 NBA Draft, forgoing a potential final season in college basketball at Indiana.
This is not exactly a surprising development. Jackson-Davis has played 4 years in Bloomington and was a top 3 player in the sport this past season; there’s not much better he can get in the college game. His athleticism made him a matchup nightmare in the B1G and he’s certainly an NBA-level, high-2nd/low 1st round prospect.
TJD wrote the following to Indiana and his fans on social media Tuesday:

The Indiana big man surpassed a few Hoosier records during his 4-year run. Just this season, Jackson-Davis broke the Hoosiers all-time rebounding record and finished 3rd place all-time on the Indiana career scoring list, surpassing head coach Mike Woodson in the process. He also became the first Indiana player in history to score over 2,000 career points with 1,000 career rebounds. Not once this season was Jackson-Davis held under 10 points.
Indiana didn’t have the end to the season that it wanted, but TJD helped usher the Hoosiers back into the national discourse after a few down years under Archie Miller.
We’d say he’ll be remembered around Bloomington and B1G country for some time.
