The two returning quarterbacks who appeared in the College Football Playoff last season are among those with the best odds to claim the 2020 Heisman Trophy, according to recent odds from Super Book USA.
It should be no surprise that Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence and Ohio State’s Justin Fields are tied with the best odds to claim the highest individual honor in college football next season. Both quarterbacks led their teams to the College Football Playoff, with Clemson playing in the national title game after defeated Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl.
Both Lawrence and Fields are listed with 4/1 odds to claim next year’s Heisman Trophy, tied for best in college football.
Nebraska’s Adrian Martinez (30/1), Penn State’s Sean Clifford (40/1) and Ohio State’s Master Teague III (60/1) were among the leaders, as well.
Fields threw for 3,273 yards and 41 touchdowns with just three interceptions on the season. Two of those picks came in the Fiesta Bowl loss to Clemson. He also rushed for 484 yards and 10 scores, leading the Buckeyes to another B1G title and a berth in the College Football Playoff.
