Trey Sermon may have just iced away the B1G Championship for Ohio State in dominant fashion.

Sermon has been the driving force in the second half for the Buckeyes. After a sluggish first half, head coach Ryan Day and company have ridden Sermon’s legs to a lead over Northwestern.

On the latest drive, Sermon carried the ball seven times in nine plays. Though some backs may have worn down, Sermon had the juice the entire way, rushing for 64 of Ohio State’s 80 total yards on the drive.

He also punched in his second touchdown of the game, staking Ohio State to a 12-point lead late in the game against Northwestern. Here’s the score:

Sermon is now chasing Eddie George’s single-game record of 314 yards for Ohio State, but he may run out of time before he gets there.
