Tua Tagovailoa is coming off of a huge 6-touchdown masterpiece last Sunday for the Miami Dolphins. Unfortunately, he had to be helped off the field and was taken to the locker room against the Buffalo Bills.

On one pass play, Tagovailoa was shoved after releasing the ball. The shove was not particularly hard but Tagovailoa was airborne before the back of his head slammed into the field during the fall.

He tried to get right back on his feet but was visibly stumbling and fell back down to the ground. Tagovailoa was eventually helped to the locker room to be checked out.

Hopefully, Tua is okay, but that was certainly a scary sight for the young quarterback. Even if he checks out okay, it is probably doubtful Tagovailoa re-enters the game against Buffalo.

***UPDATE***

Tagovailoa cleared concussion protocols per the CBS broadcast. Coming out of halftime, Tagovailoa is back under center for Miami’s first drive of the second half.
