Twice as nice: Oregon lands 4-star DB for 2nd blue-chip commitment of day

Oregon is having a big day on the recruiting trail. After landing a 5-star offensive lineman, the Ducks quickly added another blue-chip prospect to their class.
Devin Jackson is the newest UO commitment. He announced his plans to play for Dan Lanning’s program on Thursday.

A native of Winter Garden, Florida, Jackson plays for The First Academy. He is listed as measuring 6-2 and 195 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Jackson is rated 4-stars, the No. 18 safety, No. 32 player in the state of Florida and No. 213 prospect overall in the Class of 2026.
As a top defensive back in a heavily recruited state, Jackson was highly sought after. He collected scholarship offers from 44 programs. He originally committed to play for Florida, but backed off his verbal pledge to the Gators in April. For Thursday’s big decision, Jackson narrowed his choices to Oregon, Miami and Nebraska.
