After Week 6 in college football, SI’s Bruce Feldman listed two B1G stars in his top-5 Heisman candidates.

The first one should be come as a surprise at all. Feldman has Penn State running back Saquon Barkley has his leader to win the trophy after six weeks. But his fifth contender may come as a surprise to some.

This week, Feldman has Wisconsin freshman running back Jonathan Taylor as a Heisman hopeful. Here is what Feldman had to say about Taylor:

“The bruising freshman back notched his second 200-plus yard rushing effort in just his fifth college game, as he scorched Nebraska for 249 in a 38–17 Badgers romp in Lincoln. He’s up to fourth in the country in rushing at 153.4 yards per game. The knocks against Taylor: He has zero receiving yards and Wisconsin’s schedule has been very underwhelming so far.”

On the year, Taylor has ran for 767 yards and nine touchdowns on 97 carries, which gives the young back a 7.6 yards per carry average.
