Two former B1G RBs, current 49ers, are helping pave way to victory against Vikings

The No. 1-seeded San Francisco 49ers are hosting the No. 6-seeded Minnesota Vikings in the Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs Saturday.
Through the first two-and-a-half quarters, the 49ers — leading 24-10 — are proving they deserve to be the top seed in the NFC. Why? Sure, the defense has been stout.
But take a look at their top two running backs. Tevin Coleman, a former Indiana Hoosier (2012-14), has rushed for 67 yards and two touchdowns already:

For the first time in his career, Tevin Coleman has a multi-TD playoff game.
The RB gives San Fran a 24-10 advantage.

And, it isn’t just Coleman doing work. Raheem Mostert, a former Purdue ball-carrier (2011-14), has also taken 11 carries for 56 yards. Combined, Coleman and Mostert have rushed for 123 yards and two scores.

After Minnesota got a stop late in the third quarter, San Francisco was forced to punt. However, the 49ers ended up advancing the ball 64 yards thanks to Mostert, who also plays on special teams:

Again, we’re not even in the fourth quarter yet. The 49ers are clearly owning the line of scrimmage and the two former B1G backs are doing the rest of the work.
The Vikings may be down 17 now, but it feels more like 30. You’re welcome, San Francisco.
