Tyler Nubin, Minnesota DB, lands Reese’s Senior Bowl honor for Week 9

Tyler Nubin and the Minnesota defensive produced a huge performance in Week 9. After shutting out Rutgers for a 31-0 win, Nubin landed a national honor for his performance.
Monday morning, the Reese’s Senior Bowl announced Nubin as the Senior Bowl’s Defensive Player of the Week. Nubin shined with a pair of interceptions and 3 solo tackles in the shutout win.

On the season, Nubin now has 3 total interceptions after recording 1 in the loss to Purdue. He also has 35 total tackles (24 solo), 2 TFL and a forced fumble. Nubin is also up to 7 career interceptions during his time with the Gophers.
Next up for Nubin and the Minnesota defense is a road trip to Lincoln to face Nebraska. We’ll see how the Gophers are able to perform on Saturday.
