Tyler Wahl has been Wisconsin’s leading scorer this season. Wahl’s status for Saturday’s game was announced by Badgers Notes’ Jake Maier.
Wahl averages 13.2 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game this season. However, he will not be in the starting lineup for the Illinois game.
Illinois is hungry for a win after dropping a game to in-state rival Northwestern on Wednesday. It’ll be interesting to see how Wisconsin adjusts without its top scorer playing in the game.
Tyler Wahl out for today’s game against Illinois. That hurts.
Wahl is the #Badgers leading scorer (13.2 PPG) and second in rebounding (6.4 RPG). This game will be a true test for UW.

Chucky Hepburn and Steven Crowl may need to make up for Wahl’s scoring output. Hepburn averages 12.2 points per game, while Crowl averages 11.9.
The Badgers are currently riding a six-game winning streak heading into the matchup and are the No. 14 team in the country. Wisconsin narrowly escaped defeat in its last game, beating Minnesota 63-60 on Tuesday.
Saturday will be the first time that Wahl has missed a game all season. Tipoff between Wisconsin and Illinois will be at 1:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2.
