We’ve all heard it before: football is a game of inches.
In the 2019 Gasparilla Bowl between UCF and Marshall, not even one minute into the game — that saying has already proven to be true.
Take a look at the pick-six that UCF got right off the bat to start the game thanks to a pass that went just a few inches too high:

If the throw by the Marshall quarterback was just a few inches lower, maybe the ball doesn’t gets tipped off the wide receiver’s fingers. Then, UCF doesn’t have an interception.
But, those inches did become a factor. And UCF now, at the 7:00 mark in the first quarter, leads 21-0.
