UCLA football added a commitment from Class of 2027 defensive lineman Georga Toia on Thursday. The 6-foot-1 lineman chose to play for UCLA over the likes of Texas, Michigan and Penn State, among others.

Toia is an elite DL prospect. He attends Byron Nelson high school in Trophy Club, Texas, which is located just north of Fort Worth. He stands at 6-foot-2, 320 pounds and best fits as an interior defensive lineman at the next level.

Toia is the highest-rated addition of the offseason for head coach Bob Chesney. He’s the 4th 4-star addition to UCLA’s 2027 class, joining safeties Pole Moala and Khalil Terry, as well as linebacker Colton McKibben. He’s also one of 2 defensive line additions for the Bruins, joining 3-star lineman Montana Toilolo out of Santa Ana, California.

Specifically, Toia is considered to be the No. 90 overall prospect in the Class of 2027, per 247Sports’ composite rankings. He’s also considered to be the No. 8 defensive lineman and the No. 10 player from the talent-rich state of Texas.
