UCLA will receive a hefty payday from Under Armour in order to release the popular manufacturer from a licensing agreement.
According to ESPN’s Adem Rittenberg, UCLA will receive around $67.5 million from Under Armour to resolve a lawsuit from the Bruins after UA terminated their sponsorship deal with the program.
The original deal was for 15 years and $280 million, the largest of its kind in college sports history, and was signed in 2016. UA revealed to UCLA plans to terminate the deal claiming “marketing benefits” that UCLA had not provided.
