After an underwhelming performance vs. Texas, Maryland could be making a change at kicker

Despite a 51-41 win over Texas, there were some things Maryland head coach DJ Durkin didn’t like from his team. Some of his major concerns came in the Terrapins’ kicking game.
Following Maryland’s win Saturday, Durkin addressed the kicking situation with reporters, saying he’s just trying to find more consistency at the position.
“Just keep trying to make a decision for who can give us the best opportunity to be consistent kicking the ball,” he said, according to 247Sports. “We evaluate our special teams units just the same as offense and defense. We’re just looking for the best guys to get out there.”
Currently the starting job belongs to senior Adam Greene. He converted just 1-of-3 field goals on Saturday, though and had one blocked. His only make came from 26 yards out.
Greene wasn’t the only specialist who had a rough outing, as the Terrapins surrendered a touchdown on a punt in the win, as well.
Durkin didn’t say there was a definite change coming but if the special teams units struggle again this week against Towson, there might be someone else kicking the ball on Saturdays in College Park.
