UNLV football announces passing of former Rutgers DL Ryan Keeler

UNLV football announced the tragic passing of defensive lineman Ryan Keeler. A former 3-star prospect out of Chicago, Keeler began his career at Rutgers via the 2021 recruiting class before transferring to UNLV.

“We are devastated to have lost a member of our Rebel family,” said first-year UNLV football head coach Barry Odom via press release. “While I had the honor of knowing Ryan for only a couple of months, he already stood out to our coaching staff as an incredible person, student and teammate. Our condolences and prayers go out to Ryan’s family as we grieve along with them over this tremendous loss.”

UNLV did not release a cause of death at the time of the announcement. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Keeler’s family and the UNLV community.
