Former Purdue receiver Rondale Moore has been very impressive so far during his rookie season with the Arizona Cardinals.
He was arguably the NFL’s best rookie receiver through two weeks, but he caught a little bit of criticism for muffing a punt vs. the Jaguars in Week 3.
But as it turns out, that wasn’t his fault.
He dropped the punt because a flag from an official made contact with the ball just before it reached Moore’s grasp. Here’s a slow-mo replay of what happened:
What are the odds? And what is the ruling here @DeanBlandino ?

The Cardinals ended up recovering the muffed punt anyways, so no harm, no foul. Moore finished the game with 2 punt returns for 27 yards.
It was a quieter game for him offensively as well, as he was limited to 2 catches for just 1 yard.
The Cardinals won the game 31-19 and improved to 3-0. They will look to stay undefeated on the road next week against the Los Angeles Rams.
