Forward Race Thompson was Indiana’s leading scorer in the first half with eight points. It was a team effort for the Hoosiers, as seven different players scored.
Iowa started off this game with a 17-4 lead. However, offense dried up quickly for the Hawkeyes as they ended the half shooting just 37 percent from the field.
Both teams are shooting well from 3-point range so far. Iowa is 6-for-11 and Indiana is 4-of-9.
Iowa guard Joe Wieskamp is the game’s leading scorer to this point with 15 points on nine shots. National Player of the Year candidate Luka Garza scored just two points on three shots in the first half, so Indiana is doing an excellent job of limiting his production.
Indiana defeated Iowa 81-69 on Jan. 21, which kicked off a rough patch in Iowa’s season. The Hawkeyes have now lost three of their last four games, with their only win coming at home vs. Michigan State.
