In order to beat No. 9 Penn State on Saturday night, the fourth-ranked Buckeyes needed to put together a 96-yard touchdown drive in under five minutes. Ohio State answered the call.

With the season hanging in the balance, the Buckeyes got every inch of those 96 yards in eight plays, taking 2:32 off the clock to take a 27-26 lead with just over two minutes remaining. It was capped by a 24-yard touchdown pass from Dwayne Haskins to K.J. Hill.

It proved to be the game-winning drive, as Ohio State held on for the one-point win.

After the game, Meyer was asked about that incredible drive. He called it one of the best in the program’s history.

“One of the great drives in Ohio State history,” Meyer said in his postgame presser.

Ohio State has put together some pretty incredible drives, but the one Saturday night, considering all that was on the line, is definitely up there.

The Buckeyes improve to 5-0 on the season and 2-0 in B1G play. Penn State fell to 4-1 and 1-1 in the conference.

It was an incredible win for Meyer and the Buckeyes on Saturday night. And that drive is going to be remembered in Columbus for a long, long time.
