Former Ohio State coach Urban Meyer made a surprise appearance on AEW’s Double or Nothing event on Sunday night.

Meyer’s new boss — Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shahid Khan — also owns AEW.

As a fight between Chris Jericho and Maxwell Jacob Friedman broke out at the Jaguars’ stadium, the two made their way into the coaching offices. From there, Meyer and Jags assistant Charlie Strong had to pick a side.

They chose Jericho.

Here’s the clip, which features Meyer handing a laptop to Jericho in the midst of the fight:

“He was super awesome,” Jericho told reporters after the event. “The Urban Meyer scene was great. We played it straight so it’s not ha-ha slap-stick comedy, and he was one of the highlights for sure. It was a lot of fun.”

It’s been an eventful first offseason as an NFL head coach for Meyer. In addition to drafting Trevor Lawrence with the No. 1 overall pick, Meyer has drawn criticism in recent weeks for signing former Florida QB Tim Tebow to a contract. Tebow is currently working out at tight end, but it’s unclear if he’ll be on the final roster or not.

Meyer will finally get to coach his first NFL game against the Houston Texans on Sept. 12.
