Meyer praised his former rival for, despite all the offseason losses, still being able to get off to a solid 2-0 start.
“Their skill is outstanding,” Meyer said. “They’re well-coached on both sides of the ball. I did not expect that.”
Though his words may seem genuine, his co-host Brady Quinn pointed out that the show would be at Michigan in a few weeks and accused him of buttering up the fans so they would go easy on him when they make the trip to Ann Arbor.
Meyer responded with, “It’s America, I can do what I want.”
Meyer coached Ohio State from 2012 to 2018 and gave the program some of its best seasons. He led the Buckeyes to a national championship and three conference titles.
