Urban Meyer just can’t help himself. Any chance he gets to throw some shade at Michigan, he does it.
During Big Noon Kickoff on Saturday morning, Meyer was asked about an insider’s perspective for No. 7 Michigan’s matchup with Army. The Black Knights, of course, bring that unique triple-option offense to Ann Arbor. It’s a tough thing to defend for a lot of teams.
So, when asked how Michigan plans to slow down that kind of attack, Meyer brushed the question off as only he could.
“I don’t know,” Meyer said. “It’s not my problem.”
After he was done joking, Meyer did go on to break down how Army’s offense works and what the Wolverines need to do to slow it down. So, he didn’t completely ignore the question, though he probably would’ve liked to.
Jim Harbaugh has said that defensive coordinator Don Brown has been preparing for Army and the triple-option offense for a long time now. With that unique style, it’s not really something you can prepare for in just a few days.
Michigan and Army are both 1-0 heading into Saturday’s matchup.
