No. 3 Ohio State (5-0, 2-0 Big Ten) will host Indiana (4-1, 1-1) for its Homecoming game this Saturday in Columbus. Buckeyes coach Urban Meyer held a brief press conference following Wednesday’s practice in lieu of the Week 6 matchup, addressing some lingering questions while providing some insight on its East opponent.
One of the more important notes, however, was an update on defensive tackle Dre’Mont Jones and cornerback Damon Arnette:
Just now @OSUCoachMeyer just said of DT Dre’Mont Jones and CB Damon Arnette – “They’re both going to play.” Jones had a rolled ankle at PSU, Arnette suffered apparent head bump.

Jones, who was listed as “probable,” has been participating in mental reps this week in practice. The junior lineman has been a force for the Buckeyes, totaling 6.5 tackles for loss — 3.5 of them being sacks — so far this season. His presence is even more important with star defensive end Joey Bosa sidelined indefinitely. Arnette’s health status is also vital for a back seven that has surrendered 202.2 passing yards per game (7th B1G) and is preparing for an Indiana offense that has been particularly efficient through the air, completing 71.8 percent of its pass attempts (2nd).
Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET on Fox.
